Starting out the year more organized - for example the handy little boxes below divvying up all the titles I've read into categories (some titles fall into multiple.)
It's the 17th and we just had a foot of snow. You'd think that meant I got a lot of work done, but no . . . Tempest is still about halfway through editing. Bailey's story is chugging along though, if you discount the night I spent falling into the research rabbit hole (I learned tons about the history of the Australian highway system, it was a great cure for the insomnia I hadn't been suffering from at the time.)
I'd like to also add a Favorite Read of the Month award this year. There's still two weeks left of the month, but my first read, All The Feels, is going to be hard to beat.

So 13 books for the month . . . Somewhat unprecedented for me. After all, last year I read 2 books in January. Looking over the list, I'd have to say that All the Feels held strong as my favorite for the month, followed by The Power of Geography and Payback's a Witch.

Bailey's story hit the 30k word this last week of the month. Looking forward, I need to mute her and Luc a bit and buckle down on Tempest. I'm conscious of the fact I'm dawdling on getting her done. I think it has to do with the fact that she's my first baby. I'm not quite ready for her to flee the nest just yet . . .
In the meantime, let's see what February has in store!
