2022 Holiday Reads

Only read six holiday themed romances this year. As usual, started way too early, trying to get into the spirit, only to burn out.

Still, how did those six novels stack up against one another?
I was fairly certain going in that A Very Merry Bromance was going to take the cake. I've adored every book in Lyssa Kay Adams series. It did top my list, until . . . Lovelight Farms.
I try to make a point of avoiding over-hyped books, but this one kept popping up over and over again, and I know you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but this one drew me in.
B.K. Borison's friends to lovers/fake relationship story can be described in one word - Lovely. Okay, let's gush a little and make it two words - PERFECTLY LOVELY. I'm looking forward to reading the other two books in the trilogy come the new year.
Now, that's not to say the other four books weren't good. I'm not big on rating reads (unless they're a definite 5 stars), but I'd say nothing here was a dud. Jenn McKinlay always makes me laugh, and if you've followed what I've read this year you'll know that Chloe Liese has featured prominently.
As for Piper Rayne and Alison Cockrun, I just started Single and Ready to Mingle and have already fallen in love with Andrew. It's supposed to dip into the single digits here this weekend, so I'm certain these last two books will be finished while awaiting the man in reds appearance.
Hope everyone has a festive, fun filled holiday.
C.J.
